The State Farm insurance companies have been represented in Moniteau County for [over 60] years. Harold Dickson was the first agent, being appointed as an independent contractor agent in 1951. Harold worked out of his home, servicing his policyholders as a part-time agent while pursuing other business interests. He retired in 1987 and was replaced by Joe Monk, Jr. Joe, a native of Mexico, Missouri, served the area as a full-time agent for nearly five years before his appointment to a management position with State Farm in St Louis County.

During his time in California, Joe located his office in the refurbished buildings in the 300 block of Oak Street, locating at 322 South Oak Street. On October 1, 1993, Paul Bloch contracted as a trainee agent with State Farm and signed as an independent contractor on October 1, 1995.

For nearly six years, his office was located at the same location on Oak Street. In the spring and summer of 1999, Paul and his wife, Becky, constructed a new office building at 706 West Buchanan Street. The building was opened for business on August 1, 1999. Employees in the agency include Becky Bloch, who is the receptionist, and Tammy Korte who is the office manager.
