Southern Methodist Church (1880s-?)
McGirk area
From the 1980 History of Moniteau County, Missouri:
"Not a house in sight," said Mr. Buente when he purchased land and built a general store and became postmaster around 1880 . . . Dr. Brammel opened his office, and a Southern Methodist Church was established.
The McGirk family cemetery is located south of Highway 50 [now Lookout Trail] east of McGirk and the Old Methodist (now McGirk) Cemetery is along blacktop PP northeast of McGirk.
