Hainen Buick (est. 1954)

Andy Hainen owned and operated Hainen Motor Company starting in the late 1930s. His brother Ben, started as a salesman at this business. Two businesses came out of these families.

Hainen Buick

Hainen Buick Company was established on March 26, 1954 by B. A. ["Big Ben"] Hainen of Tipton. After returning from service in World War II, B. A. began his automotive career as a salesman for his brother, Andy, at Hainen Motor Co.

Upon receiving the sales contract from Buick Motor Division, Benny first opened for business on the northeast corner of the junction of Highways 5 & 50 which is currently [in 2008] Tuttle Auto Parts. Soon afterward, a new facility was constructed at the current location on Highway 5 & 50. Through the years other franchises were added along with Buick, those being Rambler, Case Farm Implements, International Harvester Trucks, GMC Trucks and Chevrolet.

B. A. Hainen remained active in the dealership until his death in 2002. Greg Hainen joined the business in 1977 and remains as dealer for Buick and Chevrolet Motor Divisions.

Hainen is one of the oldest continuous names for the Buick Motor Divsion franchise in the state of Missouri.
